The Libero fare network combines 26 transport companies in the cantons of Bern (Bern, Emmental, Oberaargau, Seeland, Berner Jura and Berner Oberland), Solothurn (Wasseramt, Thal, Bucheggberg and Lebern) and Jura (Moutier, Layoux, Les Genevez). Just one simple fare system applies within the Libero fare network area. Whether your journey is urban or rural, there is only one ticket you need.
The zone system applies to all tickets across the Libero fare network. The zone map shows you how many adjoining zones (areas) you need to purchase to get from A to B. Whether you travel by train, bus or tram – within the zones covered and the period of validity, all public transport services are included within the fare.
The Junior Travelcard and the Children’s Co-Travelcard – the family discounts of the Swiss transport companies – are also valid within the Libero fare network.
If you have a Half Fare Travelcard, you benefit from reduced prices on all single, group or multiple-journey tickets and Day Passes.
With the Moonliner, you can get home safely and comfortably at night by public transport at weekends, starting on Thursdays.
With your Libero ticket, you can take advantage of up to 50% off numerous leisure activities.
You can get information and answers to questions about the Libero fare network from the SBB Contact Center on 0848 44 66 88 (CHF 0.08/min., 24/7).
- If you would like to travel beyond the limits of your Libero ticket, you will need a zone upgrade. This will be needed from the last timetabled stop within your Libero ticket to the final stop of your journey.
- If your train does not stop in the Libero zones you purchased, your Libero ticket is not valid. Please buy a standard-price ticket instead (or a Supersaver Ticket).
