What the TNW offers.

Zone system.

The zone system applies to all tickets across the TNW fare network. The zone map shows you how many adjoining zones (areas) you need to purchase to get from A to B. Whether you travel by train, bus or tram – within the zones covered and the period of validity, all public transport services are included within the fare.

Family discounts.

The Junior Travelcard and the Children’s Co-Travelcard – the family discounts of the Swiss transport companies – are also valid within the TNW.

Nighttime network.

Journeys beyond the fare network area.

If you would like to travel beyond the limits of your TNW ticket, you will need a zone upgrade. This will be needed from the last timetabled stop within your TNW ticket to the final stop of your journey.
If your train does not stop in the TNW zones you purchased, your TNW ticket is not valid. Please buy a standard-price ticket instead (or a Supersaver Ticket).
