The Zug fare network combines the six most important transport companies in the canton of Zug. The same simple fare system applies across the entire fare network area. This means that you only need one ticket for all journeys by public transport.
The zone system applies to all tickets in the Zug fare network. The zone plan shows you how many adjoining zones (areas) you need to purchase to get from A to B. Regardless of whether you travel by train or bus, all public transport services within the purchased zones and for the applicable validity period are included in the price.
The Junior Travelcard and the Children’s Co-Travelcard – the family discounts of the Swiss transport companies – are also valid within the Zug fare network.

Tickets and travelcards for the Zug fare network can be purchased online at SBB.ch and in the SBB Mobile / Preview app, as well as from ticket machines and staffed points of sale within the fare network area.
Buy travelcards for the Zug fare network online at SBB.ch and at points of sale within the fare network. They will be integrated onto the SwissPass.

- If you would like to travel beyond the limits of your Zug fare network ticket, you will need a zone upgrade. This will be needed from the last timetabled stop within your Zug fare network ticket to the final stop of your journey.
- If you have a valid Zug fare network ticket which connects to a Z-Pass ticket area, you can continue your journey using both tickets together, as long as the transport service used has a timetabled stop within one of the ZVV zones (6xx) listed on the Z-Pass.
- If your train does not stop in the Zug fare network zones you purchased, your Zug fare network ticket is not valid. Please buy a standard-price ticket instead (or a Supersaver Ticket).
