School classes and Y+S groups of 10 or more people can benefit from the attractively priced Day Pass for Schools for their group travel. Children from 6 years of age, young people under 25 and their accompanying adults can travel for one day in 2nd class for as little as CHF 15 – wherever the GA Travelcard is valid. What the Day Pass for Schools offers.

For groups of 10 or more people.

The Day Pass for Schools is valid for groups of 10 or more people for travel together as part of school trips or Youth+Sports events.

Only CHF 15 per person.

The Day Pass for Schools also costs CHF 15 for accompanying adults aged 25 or over. A maximum of two accompanying adults aged 25 or over are permitted for each eight children or young people (aged 6 to under 25).

Dogs count towards this too.

Dogs can also travel with you for CHF 15. The dog counts towards the minimum number of participants of 10.

Registration.

Before you purchase Day Passes for Schools, you need to register your school trip. Either via the registration form, at a staffed point of sale or by telephone at the SBB Contact Center 0848 44 66 88 (CHF 0.08/min.)

Deadline for registration.

We must receive online registration of your school trip at least 7 working days before departure. You can register school trips at short notice up to 2 working days before departure at the SBB Travel Centre or the SBB Contact Center.

Purchase.

Purchase Day Pass for Schools after you have registered your school trip. Either via the link you received after registering via the form, at a staffed point of sale or by telephone at the SBB Contact Center.

Area of validity.

The Day Pass for Schools enables you to travel wherever the GA Travelcard is valid. For journeys outside the GA Travelcard area of validity, you must buy add-on tickets at the group rate.

Passengers aged from 6 to under 25 years old and accompanying adults aged 25 or over can benefit from the Day Pass for Schools.

Only for 2nd class.

The Day Pass for Schools is only valid for journeys in 2nd class. A class upgrade cannot be added.

The Day Pass for Schools is valid for the following passengers aged at least 6 and under 25:

Children aged at least 6 from public or private nurseries.
Pupils from the 1st to 9th year of compulsory education.
Pupils from public or private secondary schools and vocational training students.
Pupils from schools for the disabled, deaf, blind and visually impaired.
Students from higher education institutes and universities.
Young people from disabled youth institutes, orphanages and children’s homes.
People taking part in Youth+Sports events, Youth+Sports camps and other official camps and events (training camps, music camps etc.).

The Day Pass for Schools is not valid for children and young people travelling together unofficially, e.g. for private city trips, skiing trips etc.
