Well, that’s exactly what the Tandem Day Pass for GA Travelcard Youth allows you to do. For just CHF 20 per day a companion can travel together with you. There’s only one condition: your companion must be below the age of 25.
For just CHF 20, a companion can travel with you for a whole day, provided that you have a GA Travelcard for Youth, GA Travelcard Familia for Youth, Trial GA Travelcard for Youth, GA Travelcard for Children, GA Travelcard Familia for Children, GA Travelcard for Trainees, GA Travelcard for Disabled Persons (for under 25s) or a 1-month GA Travelcard for Youth. Your companion must also be under the age of 25.
Because sometimes it gets a bit late, the Tandem Day Pass for GA Travelcard Youth is valid for routes within the GA Travelcard area of validity until 5am the next day.

- Holders of a GA Travelcard for Disabled Persons need to be under the age of 25 and must be able to demonstrate this during ticket inspection by means of an ID document or a SwissPass.

- When purchasing via SBB.ch or the SBB Mobile / Preview apps, only the travelling companion has to provide their name and date of birth.
- The Tandem Day Pass for GA Travelcard Youth is not valid in combination with a Night GA Travelcard.
- If you are the holder of a GA Travelcard for Youth, GA Familia Travelcard for Youth, Trial GA Travelcard for Youth, GA Travelcard for Children, GA Travelcard Familia for Children, GA Travelcard for Trainees, GA Travelcard for Disabled Persons or a 1-month GA Travelcard for Youth for 2nd class and you would like to travel together with someone else in 1st class, you can purchase a 1-day Class Upgrade or discounted class upgrades for defined routes (incl. Supersaver Class Upgrade) for your journeys in 1st class.
- The companion with the Tandem Day Pass for GA Travelcard Youth does not require a separate class upgrade to travel in 1st class.
- Both passengers (i.e. the person with the relevant GA Travelcard and the companion with the Tandem Day Pass) require a connecting ticket for travel on mountain lifts or railways and connections outside of the GA Travelcard area of validity.
- Companions with a GA Travelcard or Half Fare Travelcard pay the reduced price.
- People without a GA Travelcard or Half Fare Travelcard pay the full price.
The Tandem Day Pass for GA Travelcard Youth can be combined with the Companion Travelcard. Condition: The holder of the Tandem Day Pass for GA Travelcard Youth must be under 25 years of age and they must be accompanied by someone who has a GA Travelcard for Youth, GA Travelcard Familia for Youth, Trial GA Travelcard for Youth, GA Travelcard for Children, GA Travelcard Familia for Children, GA Travelcard for Trainees, GA Travelcard for Disabled Persons or a 1-month GA Travelcard for Youth.
