Terms and conditions.

• The annual bike pass is valid for 12 months as of the date of issue.
• The annual bike pass is loaded onto the SwissPass belonging to the owner of the bicycle. The travelcard can therefore not be transferred to more than one person.
• The annual bike pass is not linked to a particular travel class and so is valid in the class of travel for which the passenger has purchased their ticket or travelcard.
• The annual bike pass is valid for unlimited transportation (self-service loading of bicycles) on the networks of most public transport companies.

Initial purchase.

You will receive your annual bike pass on your personal SwissPass. If you do not already own a SwissPass, you can order one by phone via the SBB Contact Center on 0848 44 66 88 (CHF 0.08/min.) or at a staffed public transport point of sale. Important: please note that you will require official ID and an up-to-date and high-quality passport photo for the initial purchase.

If you already have a SwissPass – e.g. for your Half Fare or GA Travelcard – you can purchase the annual bike pass conveniently online or at any staffed point of sale.

Renewal.

You can renew your annual bike pass conveniently online or at a staffed point of sale. To renew online, use the link you receive in the renewal e-mail.

If you have forgotten your SwissPass.

If you leave your SwissPass at home or in the office, you can display it very easily in the SBB Mobile app under ‘Tickets & SwissPass’ (you must have your login with the linked customer number).

Alternatively, you can buy a temporary card at a public transport point of sale for a fee of CHF 5 on presentation of official ID.

Replacing your SwissPass.

Have you lost or damaged your SwissPass? No problem. You can order a replacement SwissPass for CHF 30 at a staffed point of sale or directly online. 

If you no longer need the annual bike pass, and you have not reached the end of the second month of its validity, you can return it. Up to the end of the first month of its validity, you receive 50% of the purchase cost in return, and 25% up to the end of the second month of its validity. Refunds are not possible after this.

• Children under 16 can take their bike with them for free, provided they are accompanied by someone who is 16 or over.
• Children with a GA Travelcard for Children or a GA Travelcard Familia for Children can take their bike with them for free even when on their own.
• For children under 6 years old, children’s bikes are considered hand luggage and can be transported free of charge.
