If children up to the age of 16 hold a 2nd class GA travelcard for children, they can travel in 1st class without paying anything extra when accompanied by a companion (over 16), provided the companion has a 1st class ticket.
At SBB Change, you can change Swiss francs into over 90 foreign currencies with no commission charges – from early till late, even at weekends. You will also be able to obtain the popular Travel Cash Card.
With tickets for public transport, you can enjoy at least 10% discount or added value for numerous leisure experiences (Day trips).
Free of traffic jams and stress, plus environmentally friendly and economical: P+Rail makes it easy to hop on board at a station near you. With your GA travelcard, you can obtain P+Rail 1-month or 1-year passes for P+Rail facilities at the ticket counter of your SBB station. For parking by the day, P+Rail 1-day passes can be conveniently purchased at the SBB Ticket Shop.
If you have a GA travelcard and buy your ticket in Switzerland, you will receive a 15% discount on routes abroad. If you book your journey at least three days before departure and it includes a weekend, you will receive an additional 15% discount on your journey to the Netherlands, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Denmark with the supersaver return ticket on routes abroad. Please make sure that you bring your international discount card with you and present it together with your GA travelcard on your SwissPass to the train crew on the German/Austrian routes.
If you also have a Rail Plus card (25 francs per year) besides the GA travelcard, other European rail companies give you a reduction of 15% on the international section of the journey. The Rail Plus card is only available in conjunction with the GA travelcard or Half-Fare travelcard. For children up to 16 years the Rail Plus card is available without an additional travelcard, and it is free of charge for young people up to 26 years. The Rail Plus card is valid for one year.
You don’t need Rail Plus in Germany or Austria because your Half-Fare or GA travelcard already lets you travel for 15% less in these countries.
Stay fit with Rent a Bike. At some 80 SBB stations, Rent a Bike has all types of bicycles available for your two-wheeled excursions. You will receive a discount of 5 francs on daily rentals and 10 francs for bike tours lasting up to 14 days. Our tip: reserve your rental bike in advance.
