Do you or someone else in your household hold a basic GA Travelcard? If so, a second person in the same household can take advantage of a discounted GA Travelcard for Duos – and enjoy virtually unlimited travel on public transport.

What the GA Travelcard for Duos offers.

Exclusively for a spouse or a person living in the same household.

If you are married or if another person in your household already holds a Basic GA Travelcard, you can benefit from a discounted GA Travelcard for Duos. The following GA Travelcards count as basic GA Travelcards: GA Travelcard for Adults, GA Travelcard for Youth, GA Travelcard for 25 Year Olds, GA Travelcard for Seniors or GA Travelcard for Disabled Persons.

Tip: If children or young people who also have a GA Travelcard live in the same household, the partner also has the option of the cost-effective GA Travelcard Familia for Adults.

With your GA Travelcard for Duos, you can enjoy unlimited travel across Switzerland by rail, S-Bahn, Postbus, boat and urban modes of transport. And all of this at a very special price. Just CHF 8 per day in 2nd class, for example.

Automatic renewal.

When buying a GA Travelcard, you take out an indefinite contract. The advantage is that your travelcard will automatically be renewed once the selected period of validity has passed and the travelcard will remain available on your SwissPass.

Important: We will remind you of the possible cancellation deadline well ahead of the automatic renewal.

Pay monthly or annually.

You decide whether you would like to pay for your GA Travelcard on an annual or monthly basis. If you prefer to pay in smaller, regular instalments, then we recommend the GA Travelcard with monthly payment. This way – and maintaining the minimum contract term of six months – you use your GA Travelcard for your journeys for as many months as you like. In the case of annual payments, you pay once for a whole year.

The GA Travelcard for Duos is linked to the basic GA Travelcard. If the conditions for linking the GA Travelcard are no longer met (e.g. due to cancellation of the basic GA Travelcard), the GA Travelcard for Duos will be cancelled by SBB at the end of the next travelcard month, subject to the period of notice.

Information about cancelling your GA Travelcard

Minimum contract term of six months.

All GA Travelcards have a minimum contract term of six months, regardless of whether payments are made on a monthly or an annual basis. Once this period has passed, you decide whether you would like to continue to use your travelcard or whether you would like to cancel, taking into account the notice period of one month before the end of each travelcard month.

The GA Travelcard for Duos is linked to the basic GA Travelcard.

The following GA Travelcards count as basic GA Travelcards:

GA Travelcard for Seniors
GA Travelcard for Disabled Persons.

If the basic GA Travelcard is valid for 1st class, you can purchase the linked GA Travelcard for Duos for 1st or 2nd class, depending on preference. If the basic GA Travelcard is valid for 2nd class, the linked GA Travelcard for Duos can only be purchased for 2nd class.

If the conditions for linking the GA Travelcard are no longer met (e.g. due to cancellation of the basic GA Travelcard), the GA Travelcard for Duos will be cancelled by SBB at the end of the next travelcard month, subject to the period of notice.
