What the GA Travelcard Familia offers.

Link with the basic GA Travelcard.

The GA Travelcard Familia is linked to one parent’s basic GA Travelcard. If the conditions for linking the card are no longer met – for example, if the basic GA Travelcard is cancelled or the GA Travelcard required for the link is discontinued – the linked GA Travelcards will also be cancelled by SBB at the end of the next travelcard month, subject to the period of notice.

Information about cancelling your GA Travelcard

Minimum contract term of 6 months.

All GA Travelcards have a minimum contract term of six months, regardless of whether payments are made on a monthly or an annual basis. Once this period has passed, you decide whether you would like to continue to use your travelcard or whether you would like to cancel, taking into account the notice period of one month before the end of each travelcard month.

General.

The GA Travelcard Familia for Children or GA Travelcard Familia for Youth and the second parent’s GA Travelcard Familia for Adults are linked to the first parent’s basic GA Travelcard. (The first parent’s basic GA Travelcard can be any of the following: GA Travelcard for Adults, GA Travelcard for Youth, GA Travelcard for 25 Year Olds, GA Travelcard for Seniors or GA Travelcard for Disabled Persons).

The GA Travelcard Familia for Adults is meant for a second parent. To acquire one, in addition to a basic GA Travelcard, a valid GA Travelcard Familia for Children or GA Travelcard Familia for Youth (for young people aged under 25 who live at the same address) is also required.

Families with the same place of residence.

Families with children aged at least 6 and under 25 are entitled to purchase Familia GA Travelcards. If at least one parent in the same household has a basic GA Travelcard (GA Travelcard for Adults, GA Travelcard for Youth, GA Travelcard for 25 Year Olds, GA Travelcard for Seniors or GA Travelcard for Disabled Persons), children and young people aged under 25 benefit from attractive prices for other GA Travelcards (GA Travelcard Familia for Children or GA Travelcard Familia for Youth).

The second parent also receives a discount (GA Travelcard Familia for Adults) if a member of the household has a GA Travelcard Familia for Children or a GA Travelcard Familia for Youth in addition to the basic GA Travelcard for the mother or father.

Families with the same place of residence.

Children aged at least 6 and young people aged under 25 years old with parents who live separately can also benefit from a GA Travelcard Familia for Children/Youth if they live with the parent that does not hold the basic GA Travelcard.

However, a GA Travelcard Familia for Adults can only be issued if the partner has the same place of residence as the person who holds the basic GA Travelcard and the children with a GA Travelcard Familia.

Please note that different documents are needed in order to purchase the GA Travelcard Familia for Children, the GA Travelcard Familia for Youth and the GA Travelcard for Adults.
