How much money will I get back if I cancel my GA Travelcard early?

The repayment amount is calculated for each month of use, not each day of use. For each month used, 9% of the purchase price will be deducted. An administration fee is also charged. Example: GA adult, 2nd class, price with annual payment: 3860 francs. How can I cancel my GA Travelcard?

Cancel your GA Travelcard in just a few clicks on swisspass.ch.

Here’s how it works:

Open swisspass.ch and log in using your personal details.
You will find your GA Travelcard under the “Travelcard” tab.
Select “Cancel Travelcard” and follow the instructions.

Of course, we will also accept your cancellation at staffed points of sale and by telephone via the SBB Contact Center.

Frequently asked questions.

You can cancel your GA Travelcard at the earliest six months after the first day of validity. If you no longer need your travelcard for its next period of validity, you must cancel it by the last possible cancellation date (at least one travelcard month in advance). You will find the cancellation date for your travelcard’s new validity period on swisspass.chLink opens in new window. under “Travelcards”. You will also receive a reminder in advance by post about your cancellation options.

If someone in your family still needs a GA Travelcard, they can purchase a new GA Travelcard that is right for them.

How do I set up a cancellation reminder for my GA Travelcard?

You will be sent a reminder by post two months before the automatic renewal date, together with the annual invoice. You can also set up e-mail or SMS notifications on swisspass.ch.

Here’s how it works:

Open swisspass.ch and log in using your personal details.
Move your mouse over your initials in the top right-hand corner.
Select “Contact channel”.
You can now select the type of cancellation reminder you want.
If you manage several travelcards in your customer account on swisspass.ch, your contact settings will apply to each of them.

GA travel card

I had purchased a GA travel card with a monthly billing thinking that I was a monthly based GA pass and that I could cancel it any time before the start of the month. I am completing my internship by February end and apparently I have to pay the GA travel card for 6months minimum even when I will not be using the services? I was not aware of the six months contract. Can someone help? The helpline does not respond nicely.

The yearly GA subscription, even pad in monthly installments, has a contracutal minimum duration of 6 months; it is clearly stated in the contract that you have signed; it can only be cancelled for the first time after 6 months. There is the GA monthly travel card which is valid for one month, without subscription, but has nothing to do with the GA yearly subscription paid in monthly installments for which you apparently signed up. I think my answer is the same you were given by the helpline.Best regards,

GA and HalfFare card

Hello everybody, I currently hold an HalfFare card as I travel weekly by train, I am contemplating however the purchase of a GA and I was wondering if I can suspend (in the case of 6 months GA) or cancel my HalfFare discount card.Thank you for making some clarity Kind regardsMelissa
