To ensure your travelcard (GA Travelcard/Half Fare Travelcard) remains valid, you must always pay for it before the period of validity begins. You will receive information about this in good time. The payment deadline cannot be extended.
A demand notice process is automatically initiated as soon as you fall behind with payment. The following deadlines apply:
You will receive a payment reminder with no fee five days after the invoice due date.
After a further ten days, you will receive the final warning with a fee of CHF 15.
If no payment is made, the travelcard will be blocked on the SwissPass 30 days after the invoice due date.
A blocked travelcard will be reactivated as soon as SBB has received the transferred amount or you can present confirmation of payment. This can be carried out directly at a ticket counter or electronically via the SBB Contact Center. Call us on (tel. 0848 44 66 88 / CHF 0.08/min).
If a payment has not been settled within 58 days of the due date, the matter is passed onto the payment collection service. If the case is passed onto payment collection, your contract will be cancelled and you will receive a debt collection notification by post.
Full information about outstanding invoices, your payments and the status of your travelcard can be found at swisspass.chLink opens in new window.. Log in and check the ‘Travelcards’ section.
Your GA Travelcard/Half Fare Travelcard has been cancelled due to outstanding payments. Please note: we are unable to provide you with any further information at the ticket counter or via the SBB Contact Center from this point in time.
I live in the US. I have been unable to verify my identity to obtain the SwissPass because the first step is to send me a code by text message. I’ve tried several times and I never receive the text message. I believe because i have a USA cell #. I purchased a Saver Day Pass through the SBB Mobile app, without using the Half Fare Card discount. Do i need the SwissPass to ride the trains when purchasing individual train tickets or using the Saver Day Pass through the SBB Mobile app? The app is saying “Your SwissPass Mobile cannot be displayed because your SwissPass card has expired or is blocked.” I’m not sure if this is an issue to use the Saver Day Pass (full fare) or not. I came still access the Saver Day Pass and purchase train tickets, it seems. Thanks.
Hello AfkearneyLink opens in new window. I believe because i have a USA cell #. What you went through is the registration process for the SwissPass card for residents. The SwissPass card is for residents. The Swiss Travel Pass and the Swiss Half Fare Card are for tourists, they do not require the SwissPass card. You are all set; simply show your SDP using the SBB Mobile app together with your physical passport to the ticket inspector. Kind regards, Roland
I’m a student from Singapore and just registered for my Swiss Pass. My purpose is to purchase the Swiss Half Pass for Youths (Annual). After completing the identity check, I logged into my SBB account on the application. Allthough I’ve not purchased my Swiss Half Pass yet, it indicates that my SwissPass card has expired or has been blocked. Could someone kindly advise me on how I can resolve this issue? Thank you. Hello [unbekannt] This is because you do not have yet a SwissPass card. As soon as you will have your SwissPass card, you can connect it and use SwissPass Mobile. Kind regards, Roland
Why on the SBB App if I want to display my SwissPass it now says Swiss pass mobile expired or blocked while I still have a valid GA and paid the monthly fees can you please advise??
Hello Mary25Link opens in new window. Your GA is valid, although there is an issue with the SwissPass Mobile. Meanwhile, you have to present the SwissPass card, as long as the technical issue with your SwissPass Mobile has not been fixed. Are you using the latest version of the SwissPass Mobile App? If yes, go to Profile Tab → Personal Details and hit the “Disconnect SwissPass Mobile” button there. Go to Tickets tab, and hit the “Set up” button there. Your GA should be reloaded. Best regards, Roland
