The GA Travelcard Familia for Adults is meant for a second parent. To acquire one, in addition to a basic GA Travelcard, a valid GA Travelcard Familia for Children or GA Travelcard Familia for Youth (for young people aged under 25 who live at the same address) is also required. When buying a GA Travelcard you take out an indefinite contract. The advantage is that your travelcard will automatically be renewed once the selected period of validity has passed and the travelcard will remain available on your SwissPass. Important: We will remind you of the possible cancellation deadline well ahead of the automatic renewal.
You decide whether you would like to pay for your GA Travelcard on an annual or monthly basis. If you prefer to pay in smaller, regular instalments, then we recommend the GA Travelcard with monthly payment. This way – and maintaining the minimum contract term of six months – you use your GA Travelcard for your journeys for as many months as you like. In the case of annual payments, you pay once for a whole year.

(The first parent’s basic GA Travelcard can be any of the following: GA Travelcard for Adults, GA Travelcard for Youth, GA Travelcard for 25 Year Olds, GA Travelcard for Seniors or GA Travelcard for Disabled Persons).

Families with children aged at least 6 and under 25 are entitled to purchase Familia GA Travelcards. If at least one parent in the same household has a basic GA Travelcard (GA Travelcard for Adults, GA Travelcard for Youth, GA Travelcard for 25 Year Olds, GA Travelcard for Seniors or GA Travelcard for Disabled Persons), children and young people aged under 25 benefit from attractive prices for other GA Travelcards (GA Travelcard Familia for Children or GA Travelcard Familia for Youth).
The second parent also receives a discount (GA Travelcard Familia for Adults) if a member of the household has a GA Travelcard Familia for Children or a GA Travelcard Familia for Youth in addition to the basic GA Travelcard for the mother or father.
Children aged at least 6 and young people aged under 25 years old with parents who live separately can also benefit from a GA Travelcard Familia for Children/Youth if they live with the parent that does not hold the basic GA Travelcard.
However, a GA Travelcard Familia for Adults can only be issued if the partner has the same place of residence as the person who holds the basic GA Travelcard and the children with a GA Travelcard Familia.
