Follow the instructions in the app and fill in the fields. Verify your identity with a valid ID online or in person at a staffed point of sale for SBB, Aare Seeland mobil (ASM), Rhaetian Railway (RhB), Südostbahn (SOB), Transports de Martigny et Régions (TMR) or Zentralbahn (zb).

Enter the required details for the money transfer. You will receive an mTAN code to confirm the transaction via SMS on your mobile phone.

1. Pay in the app itself with your PostFinance Card, Mastercard, Visa or your preferred mobile payment solution (Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay).
2. You will receive a transaction number (MTCN).
3. Give this number to the person who is to receive the money.

1. Take the QR code to the nearest ticket machine for SBB, ASM, MGB, RhB, SOB, TMR or zb.
2. Scan the QR code. Important: the QR code is only valid for one hour after receipt.
3. Pay either in cash (in CHF), with your PostFinance Card, Mastercard or Visa.
4. You will receive a printed receipt with the Western Union transaction number (MTCN).
5. Give this number to the person who is to receive the money.

How does ‘Direct to Wallet’ work?

• To use this service, the recipient must register with their mobile provider for a mobile wallet – an ‘M wallet’ – and the service must be offered for the country selected.
• Transfer money with the WesternUnion@SBB app.
• For the transfer, you will need the recipient’s full mobile number.
