It’s easy to change in Milan. The modern Milano Centrale station is easy to navigate and highly secure thanks to access checks at the entrance. There is a waiting area at the end of each platform. You can find out which departure platform you need approx. 10 minutes before the train departs via the departure boards and a loudspeaker announcement. The best thing to do before changing trains in Milan is to ask the train crew which platform the connecting train will be departing from. The coach numbers will be displayed on the platform so you will know where to board the train before it arrives.
