The Grand-Place
In the heart of the city is the Grand-Place, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the city’s most famous landmarks.
Atomium.
Built over 60 years ago for the Expo, the Atomium extends 100 metres up into the air. This representation of an iron crystal, magnified billions of times, can also be explored from the inside through the several spheres and the passages which connect them.
The European Quarter.
As the centre of the European Union, a visit to the European Quarter is a must. The modern architecture, above all the Berlaymont building, is impressive for all those who are interested in politics and architecture.
