How do I reserve seats for 1 to 5 people in the SBB Mobile app?

Here’s how it works:

  1. Open the SBB Mobile app.
  2. Select the timetable and search for the route, time and date of travel you would like.
  3. Click on ‘Tickets from CHF xx.xx’.
  4. If you would like to reserve seats for more than one person, click on ‘Edit passengers’ and enter/select the other passengers.
  5. Scroll down and select ‘More tickets and reservations’.
  6. Mark ‘Seat reservation’ and complete your purchase.

How do I reserve seats for 1 to 5 people on SBB.ch?

Here’s how it works:

  1. Click on this link: seat reservation for 1 to 5 people.
  2. Enter the route, date and time of travel you would like.
  3. Select your chosen connection and click on ‘To seat reservation’.
  4. Add a return journey if you wish.
  5. Enter the class of travel, the number of seats and the passenger details (you only have to enter one person’s details if more than one person is travelling).
  6. Continue with ‘Proceed to booking’.
  7. Enter any reservation requests you may have.
  8. Continue to the sales process.

Tip: if you make the purchase while logged in, your reservation will also be displayed in the SBB Mobile app you use with the same login.

Of course, you can also reserve seats at a public transport point of sale.

    Seat Reservation Not Possible

    Hi there, was trying to make Seat Reservation from Basel SBB to Interlaken Ost on 30/12/23, but when I clicked "Seat Reservation Only", it says "Unfortunately, we cannot offer you a reservation for this connection." Is there anything I missed out?

    Golden Pass Express seat reservation with Swiss Travel Pass

    Hi,I have bought a 4-day Swiss Travel Pass, and I would like to take train for free with "PE" mark which to my knowledge is Golden Pass Express. However, I found it not possible to make only seat reservation for train with "PE" mark, got error message like "we cannot offer you a reservation for this connection". I heard that Golden Pass Express is very popular and it is necessary to make seat reservation in advance.How can I make seat reservation for "PE" trains for free as I have already had a Swiss Travel Pass?

    Recommendation for Pass

    Hi I am traveling to Switzerland and Como for 10 days, I will be in Switzerland for 8 days so I know I need the 8 day pass.I wanted to know the following question: I purchased seat reservation on Glacier Express from Zermatt to Chur, I used discount for Swiss Travel pass, and paid for seat reservation. Does it matter if I buy Swiss Travel Pass or the Half Fare? I then was going to take train from Chur to Zurich and then separate train from Zurich to Como, will the Swiss Travel pass cover my train from Chur to Zurich or do I need to purchase a train ticket via the SBB site for Chur to Zurich? I know I have to purchase full price from Zurich to Como.Does the Glacier Express arrive at Chur or Chur West? Thanks for any help someone can provide.
