Completion of the NRLA, more frequent and faster connections to Milan and Munich and an improved service offer in Switzerland from December 2020.

2021 timetable.

The timetable change on 13 December 2020 will be marked by the completion of the New Rail Link through the Alps (NRLA) after 28 years of construction. This level-track rail route through the Alps will enable new service offers in freight and passenger services, both nationally and internationally. The 2021 timetable will provide faster, more frequent and more convenient connections to Milan and Munich, as well as a number of improvements for passenger services across the whole of Switzerland. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, some aspects of the service offer will be implemented at a later date.
