General Terms and Conditions (GTC) for the SBB toilet entry card.

The SBB toilet entry card is an electronic payment card that is used to record the customer’s credit balance with SBB. With the SBB toilet entry card, the customer can obtain entry to customer toilets at SBB railway stations for the value printed on the card. These General Terms and Conditions govern the relationship between the customer and SBB. The customer recognises the applicable General Terms and Conditions of SBB and undertakes to comply with them.
The SBB toilet entry card can be purchased from the Selecta ticket machines located in the immediate vicinity of the toilet facilities. It is not possible to purchase tickets from anywhere other than the specified Selecta ticket machines at the station in question. The toilet entry card holds the credit which is printed on the card. It is not possible to top up the SBB toilet entry card again.
The SBB toilet entry card can be used as a means of payment at all customer toilets at SBB railway stations which are equipped with a cashless payment system.
The SBB toilet entry card cannot be used for any other services.
The SBB toilet entry card must be swiped through the magnetic reader to make a payment. No PIN or signature is required. If payment with the SBB toilet entry card is not possible due to a technical fault, SBB has the right to refuse payment with the toilet entry card.
The balance remaining on the card can be checked by scanning the QR code on the back of the card.
The credit on the toilet entry card (full value or balance remaining) cannot be paid out in cash.
The credit on the gift card does not accrue interest.
No fee is charged for paying for toilet entry using the SBB toilet entry card.
The credit on SBB toilet entry cards expires 5 years from the date of production. The validity can be checked free of charge using the QR code on the back of the card.
The SBB toilet entry card is not specific to any person and is transferable. SBB accepts no liability for the loss or theft of the SBB toilet entry card. The balance remaining on the SBB toilet entry card will not be refunded if it is lost or stolen. Damaged SBB toilet entry cards which still have a balance on them can be replaced if you request a replacement card by sending an e-mail to support@boncard.chLink opens in new window., providing the card number (6299 12** **** ****), CVC number and delivery address.
No liability is accepted by SBB for losses incurred by customers as a result of system failures, disruptions, unlawful interference with communication networks or other deficiencies. SBB reserves the right to suspend the service at any time without indicating any reasons if a security risk is identified.
Services purchased in error cannot be exchanged. Cash payment is not possible. It is not possible to cancel or top up the SBB toilet entry card again.
No personal data is collected and stored.
If customers provide contact details such as a mobile telephone number or a technical network address when making a balance enquiry, this data will be used to provide this service. Customers accept that SBB may involve third parties for the replacement of damaged cards. In this event, however, steps will be taken to ensure that appropriate technical and organisational measures are employed to protect customer contact details.
These General Terms and Conditions are governed by Swiss law. The place of jurisdiction is Bern. Binding legal provisions remain reserved.
SBB reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. The currently valid version can be found under ‘Toilets at railway stations: toilet entry card’, sbb.ch/en/toilet-entry-card. The customer recognises the relevant valid version of the terms and conditions as published by SBB. In the event of any discrepancy between the German, French, Italian and/or English versions of the GTC, the German version shall prevail.
