With this new Modular Travelcard, you can combine zones and routes easily, flexibly and individually.
Modular Travelcards are available for 2nd class travel for children and young people aged 6 to 25. Adults (from the age of 25) can purchase the Modular Travelcard for 1st and 2nd class. A validity period of one month or twelve months can be selected. Children and young people up to the age of 25 benefit from discounts.
If the route you require is within a fare network, you should purchase a regional travelcard rather than a Modular Travelcard. And if you travel regularly on a certain route only, the Point-to-point Travelcard is the ideal solution.
The Modular Travelcard is available in the following combinations:
The Modular Travelcard for zone–route–zone.
This combination includes travel on local public transport in the zone(s) at both the departure and destination points as well as the train journey.
Example: Lucerne–Zug, including zone 10 Passepartout (Lucerne) and zone 610 TV Zug (Zug).
The Modular Travelcard for route–zone.
This combination includes travel on local public transport in the zone(s) at either the departure or destination point as well as the train journey from A to B.
Example: Domat/Ems–Chur, including Chur local transport.
