From Lausanne, you can reach the charming old town of Vevey by RegioExpress directly in just 14 minutes. The Alimentarium offers a great mix of interactive exhibitions, exciting cookery workshops and a wonderful location on Lake Geneva – perfect for anyone who wants to learn more about food and its history. Families with children aged 6 and over can cook under the guidance of a chef in the JuniorAcademy, while adults can prepare seasonal specialities in the Cooking Together workshops. The museum now also has a permanent exhibition entitled ‘Food – The Essence of Life’ and a photo exhibition on outdoor eating.

From Vevey, the RegioExpress will take you to the next stop in just 4 minutes. And this one has it all! In Montreux, music fans can follow in the footsteps of Freddie Mercury on guided tours and immerse themselves in the history of Queen free of charge in the band’s former recording studio at ‘Queen – The Studio Experience’. You can even experiment on the mixing desk yourself. Tip: The visit also combines perfectly with a walk along the famous lakeside promenade.

The Narcissus Trail above Montreux takes you through one of the most beautiful landscapes in Switzerland. From May to June, wild daffodils transform the mountain meadows into a sea of white flowers. The route begins in the charming mountain village of Les Avants and continues on the historic funicular railway to Sonloup. From here, you can enjoy a magnificent panoramic view over Lake Geneva and the Vaud Alps. Three hiking trails invite you to come and explore, while a new observation tower provides fantastic views. The child-friendly educational trail also makes the excursion attractive for families. Tip: The early hours of the morning offer the best opportunities for spotting wildlife.

A visit to the Les Grangettes nature reserve is perfect in combination with a walk along the Sentier des Vignes in Villeneuve. The 90-minute hiking trail begins right at the railway station and takes you through beautiful vineyards with inviting wine cellars, where winegrowers offer tastings all year round. At the same time, you can enjoy breathtaking views of Lake Geneva and the Alps.
