Image legend: 1st highlight: On the S11, Lenzburg is just seven minutes away from Aarau’s beautiful old town. The Stapferhaus Museum is just next door to the station, with exciting exhibitions on current social issues.
Image legend: 2nd highlight: If you continue for three more stops on the S11, you will reach the Mellingen Heitersberg station after nine minutes. From there, a short bus ride takes you to Mellingen, picturesquely situated on the Reuss river. This medieval town boasts magnificent natural surrounfings and an entertaining detective trail.
Image legend: 3rd highlight: From Mellingen, Killwangen-Spreitenbach is just seven minutes away by S-Bahn. After a further two minutes on the Limmattalbahn, you’ll find out first-hand how sustainability and environmental protection work at the Umwelt Arena Schweiz.
Image legend: 4th highlight: Continue on the Limmattalbahn a few more stops to Dietikon, Maienweg, then it’s a short walk to the Bruno Weber Park – a unique sculpture park with fascinating works of art and colourful mosaics.

Duration: The detective trail takes around 2.5 hours. The hike to Bremgarten takes around 3.5 hours.

Take the S11 to Killwangen-Spreitenbach and continue on the Limmattalbahn to Dietikon, Maienweg. From there, walk approx. 15 minutes. Or take the S11 to Dietikon and continue by bus to Dietikon, Weinberg. From there, walk approx. 8 minutes.
Duration: approx. 1.5 to 2 hours
Pram and wheelchair accessible. Path surface varies (cobblestone/gravel path).

A nature oasis and city living. The Limmat riverside trail follows a richly varied route from Glanzenberg to Zurich main station, passing the historic Kloster Fahr monastery along secluded lakeside paths.
