Directly on the slopes.

Starting from the 2026 timetable change and throughout the winter season, the TILO S10 line will be extended to Airolo at weekends and on bank holidays, with two direct trains per day. This will enable winter lovers to travel in comfort between Lombardy and Upper Ticino on both the outward and return journeys.

The new 2026 timetable will be like a breath of fresh air for winter sports enthusiasts and anyone who wants to enjoy a day in the snow. At weekends and on bank holidays from 14 December 2025 until 19 March 2026, there will be two daily TILO S10 line connections to Airolo, with an intermediate stop in Faido.

Thanks to the merging in Mendrisio of the TILO S50 line with the TILO S10 line, travellers from Varese and Como will be able to reach the ski lifts in about two hours without changing trains, on both the outward and return journeys.

For the last leg of the journey from the Airolo and Faido stations, it will be possible to take a connecting bus all the way to the bottom of the slopes.

What’s more, a valid 2nd class ticket for all areas of the Arcobaleno fare network is included with the Airolo Pesciüm day pass.

This direct connection will be introduced during a test phase in winter 2025/26 and may be added to future annual timetables based on customer feedback.
