Accessibility in the SBB Mobile app.

SBB works continually to ensure that its websites and mobile applications conform to current standards and are accessible to all passengers. Exceptions are listed below.

Current conformity with requirements.

SBB Mobile meets the requirements of WCAG 2.1 Level AA, with the following exceptions:

  • Orientation: SBB Mobile can only be used in portrait format.
  • Maps: Currently, it is not technically possible to provide fully accessible maps. For this reason, maps are greyed out in SBB Mobile when a screen reader is used.
  • Font size: The font in SBB Mobile can only be enlarged to 150%.
  • Touch timetable: This function is purely visual so cannot be operated using a screen reader. Alternatively, stops and connections can be saved as favourites.
  • Voice command: It cannot be guaranteed that SBB Mobile can be operated using voice command.

Accessibility information is provided each year in the SBB Sustainability Report.

Reporting issues.

Our aim is to ensure that SBB Mobile can be used by everyone. If, despite our efforts, there are barriers to your use of SBB Mobile, please report these using the Contact Center Handicap contact form. You will usually receive a response within three working days.
