We do our best to offer our customers the highest possible level of safety, functionality and cleanliness at our stations. We therefore request that you behave respectfully throughout in the station area and do not put at risk delay or disturb others.
The following, in particular, is not permitted on the station premises:
- Crossing and/or walking on the tracks.
- Criminal activity, especially the trafficking and consumption of illegal narcotics.
- Blocking or restricting access to rescue, escape and traffic safety markings, sitting or lying on the floor and stairs.
- Using any kind of rolling transport equipment (including bicycles, scooters, skateboards, roller skates, etc.). This does not apply to equipment for disabled persons such as wheelchairs and authorised vehicles.
- The parking of any kind of vehicle outside of designated parking areas. In the event of noncompliance, we reserve the right to remove the vehicle immediately. Removal costs will be charged to the owner.
- Leaving luggage and other objects unattended.
- Indecent behaviour, harassment, insults and threats directed at individuals or railway staff.
- Noise pollution and playing music or audio without authorisation.
- Violating railway staff’s and/or transport company representatives’ privacy through image or sound recordings.
- Unauthorised loitering in waiting rooms.
- Begging, loitering and sifting through litter bins.
- Smoking, including ecigarettes and vaping, outside of designated smoking areas. Cigarette butts must be disposed of in the containers provided.
- Excessive consumption of alcohol and/or being in a state of obvious intoxication.
- Defilement of the station (e.g. improper disposal of chewing gum, cigarette butts, spitting, urinating, pasting posters or writing on property, graffiti, littering, etc.).
- Littering or improperly disposing of waste outside of the containers provided for this purpose.
- Disposal of household or business waste.
- Pasting posters and/or flyers. Advertising of any kind by distributing flyers, selling goods, demonstrations, performances, donation and/or signature campaigns, taking pictures and/or filming with set-up equipment and/or any other kind of activity of increased public use without authorisation.
- Letting animals run free.
- Feeding other people’s animals or stray animals, especially birds.
The instructions of railway staff and transport company representatives must be followed. Violations of the station rules will be penalised and, in particular, may lead to personal expulsion, the removal of objects from the premises, claims for damages and/or criminal prosecution. Compensation penalties of at least CHF 25 may be imposed.
The station rules are, in particular, based on the Railways Act and the Passenger Transport Act.
