With the 1-month GA Travelcard, you can travel for one month without restriction on public transport throughout Switzerland, in the same way as with a GA Travelcard.

The 1-month GA Travelcard is available for children and young people (under 25) and for adults (aged at least 25) in 1st and 2nd class. The area of validity for the 1-month GA Travelcard corresponds to that of the GA Travelcard.

If you have a SwissPass, you can buy the 1-month GA Travelcard online or at a staffed point of sale for public transport.

To make sure you receive the right offer for adults or young people when purchasing online, please enter the relevant customer number. You will find the customer number on the SwissPass in the format 000-000-000-0.

You can buy the 1-month GA Travelcard including SwissPass at any point of sale for public transport. Please take official ID with you.

First-time purchasing online with an identity check.

If you did not previously hold a SwissPass, you can still buy your new 1-month GA Travelcard online. If you are buying a travelcard for the first time, we need to verify your identity. This identity check takes place online – you will need your passport or ID card and a smartphone with a camera.

Online purchase with an identity check is not possible for other persons.

Delivery of your 1-month GA Travelcard on the SwissPass takes approx. ten days by post. If you would like your 1-month GA Travelcard to be valid sooner, we will issue you with a temporary SwissPass.

Since the 1-month GA Travelcard is not automatically renewed, you need to purchase a new travelcard if you want to travel for another month with your GA Travelcard. You can do this very easily online. Alternatively, you can buy your 1-month GA Travelcard at any SBB ticket machine or at a staffed point of sale. Before your current 1-month GA Travelcard expires, we will inform you about how you can renew it.

Purchasing a 1-month GA Travelcard online for the first time.

If you already have a SwissPass or used to have another public transport travelcard, we will use the same photo for your new travelcard. In this case, adults will only need to provide a new photo if the previous one was taken more than ten years ago. Children and young people under 25 will only have to do so if their previous photo was taken more than five years ago.

First-time purchasing online with an identity check.

If you are purchasing a 1-month GA Travelcard for the first time and do not yet have a SwissPass or travelcard, you can upload your digital passport photo once the purchasing process (including the identity check) is complete. 

If you would like a new photo before the time limit has been reached (ten years for those aged 25 or older, five years for under 25s), please visit a staffed public transport point of sale. The new photo will be taken directly on site. You can then get a new SwissPass card with the new photo for a fee of CHF 30.

Purchasing online with a SwissPass.

If you already have a SwissPass, you will need the following documents to purchase your GA Travelcard for the first time online.

• Debit or credit card (PostFinance Card / PostFinance Pay, Mastercard, Visa, Reka Card, American Express, Diners, JCB or myOne), Twint. (The credit card must be in the same name as the contracting party.)
• Passport or ID card for the travelcard user and for the contracting party (for example, if you are purchasing a 1-month GA Travelcard for your child as a parent or for another person). 
• When buying online, you can enter details for the following types of ID: passports and ID cards issued in Switzerland, Germany, Austria, France, Italy or Liechtenstein. 

Purchasing online with an identity check.

When purchasing with the identity check, you can only buy a 1-month GA Travelcard for yourself. You will need:

• a smartphone with a camera.
• a debit or credit card (PostFinance Card / PostFinance Pay, Mastercard, Visa, Reka Card, American Express, Diners, JCB or myOne), Twint.
• a passport or ID card.

Purchasing at a public transport point of sale.

To purchase for the first time at a public transport point of sale, you need the passport/ID card for yourself or the other person (for example, if you are purchasing a Point-to-Point Travelcard for your child as a parent or for another person).

Your 1-month GA Travelcard will be valid on the SwissPass from its first day of validity.

Your 1-month GA Travelcard on the SwissPass will be delivered by post within around ten days. If you would like your new 1-month GA Travelcard to be valid earlier, we can provide a temporary SwissPass. If you order online, you can print it out as a PDF. If you order at a ticket counter, bring all your documents with you and you will receive it there.

No. As a 1-month GA Travelcard is only valid for one month and does not renew automatically, you cannot deposit or cancel it.
