  QR code doesn't show up. Is it still ok?

  Hello, I was correctly checked in EasyRide, but when inspector came the app didn’t display the QR code, just the blank screen in QR code tab. Fortunately, the checked-in animation was playing and QR code was displayed in Android widget. Inspector let me be, but wasn’t happy. Do I risk being fined if this bug repeats? What can I do to avoid it? Thank you

  Been using EasyRide for more than 2,5 years on almost daily basis, and never encountered such an issue (iOS though 😉). As long as you can somehow present a valid QR-code, there’s absolutely no reason for the ticket inspector for not being happy. It has already happened to me to fully close the SBB Mobile app while still being checked in, but this didn’t check me out and the QR-Code was still there after restarting. Also, the server infrastructure ‘knows’ that you are checked in, as starting EasyRide a 2nd time on a different device using the same swisspass userID is prevented. So therefore, in case no QR-code would show up at all, fully restarting the app would be the next obvious thing to try (but what do I know).

  Mobile app doesn’t consider local travelcard?

  Hello everyone, I noticed today that the mobile app sometimes doesn’t consider that a part of the itinerary is already covered by a local travelcard. I want to travel from Lucerne Station to my address in Zurich. I have a Half-Fare card and a ZVV pass, both in course of validity and on my Swisspass, visible in the app. If I look for the entire itinerary, the app suggests IR75 to Zurich HB and then tram n. 3, and the price for a ticket is 15.40 CHF. But if I look for the itinerary to Zurich HB it suggests the same IR75 train for a price of 13.50 CHF. As I already have a ZVV pass, the app should offer, in the ticket selection for the entire trip, only the ticket for the Lucerne-Zurich HB leg, for 13.50, not 15.40.   Hello Toatuephe73Link opens in new window. Nope, nowhere is stated that the SBB Mobile app does consider local transport passes. This is only true if you travel within ZVV, for zone extension tickets. Use EasyRide if you need a travel network cross-border ticket or purchase the ticket to Zurich HB, or Thalwil respectively if zone 150 is part of your ZVV subscription. Kind regards,

  ZVV Zone travelcard plus Easyride

  I have a ZVV local zone travelcard, this is loaded onto my swisspass and SBB app, this means that when I use easyride, the price is calculated after the benefit of the local travelcard is deducted. All so far so good.
  My question is, if I make a small local journey (Zurich city centre tram) which is fully covered by the travelcard, do I still need to swipe in using Easyride (for nil cost) or is the fact that I own the travelcard enough? I dont want to risk getting it wrong in case of a control…!

  Hello Yoihoambou29Link opens in new window. Good day. No, in areas where the travel card covers the ride, Easy Ride is not needed, it suffices if you hold the travel card. Activating Easy Ride makes sense, if you travel beyond your travel card’s validity. Kind regards,
