Dear SwissRail,
On July 5, 2025 I traveled to Switzerland and purchased a 15-day Swiss Travel Pass (2nd Class, Adult issued at Zürich Flughafen, showing validity July 5, 2025 – July 20, 2025.). Within less than 6 hours of buying the CHF 459 pass, it was either lost or stolen. I did not use this physical ticket after an initial trip made in this time (which was 3 stops away). I tried to get a refund of the CHF 459 at a counter, but I was told by Swissrail staff that they could not help. I then proceeded to ask staff at several different station but they also could not help. Eventually, someone suggested i dispute it with my credit card company when I got home. In order to continue my journey, I bought an electronic Swiss Travel Pass valid from July 6,2025 to July 21, 2025. Both physical and electronic tickets were in my name and both for 15 days of travel in beautiful Switzerland. I respectfully ask for a refund of one of the tickets (CHF 459) to my credit card, since I only traveled on one ticket but had to purchase two tickets for my vacation. I did not receive any benefit from the first ticket except for 1trip I made on July 5th to the Zurich train station. Please let me know if you have any questions. There was no malicious intent. As a first time visitor to Switzerland, I was simply not informed of the policy that a physical ticket could not be refunded when lost or stolen. Please help!
