  • Trying to figure out best ticket option

First time traveler in Switzerland. so first time booking a Switzerland train. I am travelling from Geneva to Lucerne in August (one way) with my wife and looking at first class. The supersaver ticket is 168 CHF each, while the point to point is 286 CHF. The supersaver seems to make way more sense based off price, as that is quite the surcharge to pay in fare to only have the advantage of a refundable ticket. Unless I am missing something? Particularly as we have all of our travel dates figured out and hotels booked, so we are certain to be travelling on our planned day, unless disaster strikes. Additionally, there is saver day pass option for 176 CHF, which is only 8 CHF more per ticket. Th benefit for that ticket looks to be the flexibility that I could get on any train on my day of travel? We want to take the 7:54 train, but for only 8 CHF each…we are paying for the option to take another train that same day if necessary? That seems worth it in the event we ended up preferring to take an earlier train, or if we missed the 7:54 for some crazy reason. But just wanted to confirm I am interpreting all of this correctly. And even with saver day pass, I am still guaranteed entry onto my selected 7:54 train? Thank you in advance!

  • ZVV Zone travelcard plus Easyride

I have a ZVV local zone travelcard, this is loaded onto my swisspass and SBB app, this means that when I use easyride, the price is calculated after the benefit of the local travelcard is deducted. All so far so good.
My question is, if I make a small local journey (Zurich city centre tram) which is fully covered by the travelcard, do I still need to swipe in using Easyride (for nil cost) or is the fact that I own the travelcard enough? I dont want to risk getting it wrong in case of a control…!
    Thank you.

  • Wilderswil to Zurich Flughafen

I bought a ticket online at SBB.CH from WILDERSWIL BANHOF to (ZURICH FLUGHAFEN (ZRH). Departing from WILDERSWIL BANHOF at 07:51 on BUS B105 arriving at INTELRAKEN WEST BANHOF BUS STOP “E” at 08:01 and then connecting train IC811at INTELAKEN WEST at 08:04. Only 3 minutes time to catch my connecting train. My question is, since my online ticket is inclusive of the BUS B105 and the train IC811, can I use my ticket to take an earlier BUS B105 at 07:21 to arrive at INTERLAKEN WEST BANHOF at 07:30 to give more time to catch my connecting train at 08:04? Can I use my online ticket to take an earlier Bus B105 (i.e. the 07:21 BUS B105)?
