DTZ.

The 61 double-deck trains of the second generation of the Zurich S-Bahn are easily accessible to customers due to low-floor entry with gap bridging and can be used throughout the entire Zurich S-Bahn network.

These double-deck trains were procured between 2006 and 2009. They feature low-floor entry throughout the vehicle, thus enabling easy access even for passengers with bicycles, which they can stow in the multi-purpose compartment. The trains are scheduled for refurbishment from 2025 until approximately 2030. This work will include repainting the vehicle bodies and installing radio frequency-transparent windows.
