Seetaler.

From 2029, the new Seetal trains will replace the Seetal articulated railcars (GTW) on the Lucerne–Lenzburg route. The 11 slimline multiple units are being especially designed for the particular infrastructure found in the Seetal region.

The Seetal multiple units consist of 7 coaches. They are twice as long as the GTW Seetal trains currently in use and therefore run the whole day in single traction. Overall capacity is higher as the two intermediate cabs are no longer there. One coach has an especially low access door at the level of a Seetal platform (35cm over top-of-rail level). In addition, each coach has a low-floor access door at standard platform height (55cm over top-of-rail level). This means passengers in wheelchairs can use the train without assistance at all stations on the Seetal line. All coaches, except for the coach with the wheelchair spaces, have a large multi-purpose zone with space for 4 bicycles or prams right next to the entrance.
