GTW Seetal.
The articulated railcar (GTW) mainly runs in the Seetal region (Lucerne–Lenzburg). The 15 slimline multiple units were designed especially for the particular infrastructure found in the Seetal region.
The GTW Seetal consists of 3 coaches and an intermediate drive unit. At peak times, two multiple units are coupled together to provide sufficient space.
The multiple unit has 5 access doors on each side of the coach at the especially low platform height (35cm over top-of-rail level) found in the Seetal region as well as one access door at standard low-floor height (55cm over top-of-rail level). This means passengers in wheelchairs can use the train without assistance at all stations on the Seetal line.
