What can I buy or order in the SBB shop?

Can I make a purchase without a login?

Yes, you can also make a purchase as a guest without a login.

Can I only sign in with a SwissPass login?

Yes, you can only sign in using a SwissPass login. Your address is taken from the SwissPass data, meaning that you do not need to enter your delivery address again.

What can I see in my customer account?

When you sign in with SwissPass, you can see your orders in your customer account (except for public transport tickets), your billing and delivery address and your saved payment methods.

How can I change my billing address?

Go to swisspass.chLink opens in new window. , log in and select ‘Change address’. The address change also applies to the SBB Shop.

What delivery options are available?

Every physical product from the SBB Shop will be sent via A Most or PostPac Priority. Foreign currency is delivered by A Mail Plus. This means consignment tracking is possible.

Can I list separate delivery addresses?

Yes, you can list different delivery addresses and select them individually every time you order. When purchasing foreign currency online (SBB Change), you cannot use a delivery address which is different to your billing address for compliance reasons.

Why do I have to enter my telephone number?

Your telephone number makes it easier for us to get in contact with you quickly in case we have questions about your order.

Why can I not use any payment method to buy foreign currency?

Due to financial regulations, there are several payment methods that we cannot accept for purchasing foreign currency. Go to accepted payment methods

How do I redeem a promotional code?

You can redeem your promotional code in the relevant field in the shopping cart. Your discount will then be automatically deducted from the sum of the order. Please note that there are also promotional codes which are only valid for ticket purchases on SBB.ch or SBB Mobile.

What are the shipping costs?

From an order value of CHF 50, shipping is free of charge. Under CHF 50, the shipping cost is CHF 8.90.

Do you also deliver abroad?

No, we only deliver to addresses in Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein.

Where can I find the expected delivery date?

All products shown are available for delivery and will normally be delivered in two to five working days from receipt of the order. If this is not possible, you will be notified accordingly.

How can I follow the status of my order?

If you ordered the item while logged in, you can follow the status of your order at any time under My Account and My Orders.

Can I also have my product delivered to a station?

No, the Click & Collect option at a station is unfortunately not available at the moment.

Who pays for the return of the items?

Normally, the shipping costs for the return are charged to the sender.

I have received a damaged item or the wrong item. What do I need to do?

You can use our contact form to report incomplete or damaged deliveries and items which were not received. Go to the contact form

My item is damaged or broken. What can I do?

If a product is damaged or broken within or outside the warranty period, you can report this using the contact form. Go to the contact form

Can I go to the station to return items that I purchased in the online shop?

No, you cannot return articles bought online at the station.

In the SBB shop, you can buy and order the following items and services:

Customer account.

Order.

The availability of the products is shown with a traffic light code. Products that are immediately available are usually delivered within 2 to 5 working days after receipt of the order. If this is not possible, you will be notified accordingly. You cannot cancel your purchase because of extended delivery times.

Payment.

In the SBB Shop, the following payment methods are available: PostFinance Card / PostFinance Pay, Mastercard, American Express, Visa, Twint.

Please note that there are restrictions on payment methods for certain products, in particular currency exchange.

Payment methods available for ordering currency

Return and warranty.

You can give back the item within 14 days of receipt as long as it has not been used and remains in the original packaging.

Gift cards, vouchers, virtual items, SIM cards, foreign currencies and insurance are excluded from the right of return.

For a full refund of the purchase price, the item must be unopened in the original, undamaged packaging. If the article has been opened or used, or if the item or the packaging arrives damaged, there will be a deduction from the purchase price (at least 10% or minimum deduction of CHF 10).

If the repair is still within the warranty period, please be sure to include the warranty certificate. If the warranty period has expired, you will be charged the repair costs by Mondaine or Remonta.
