You can obtain currencies for over 100 countries at around 150 SBB salespoints If a currency is not available at the station, we will send it straight to your house as soon as possible.

When you order online, only currencies which are available immediately are shown. If you require other currencies, please contact our specialists by phone.

You can change money directly at the SBB Change counter or order online.

You can choose between delivery to your home and collection at an SBB salespoint.

The foreign currency ordered will be delivered using A-Post Plus. If your payment is received immediately, foreign currency will generally reach you within two to three days.

Currency exchange at SBB Change or online always costs CHF 5, whatever the sum you buy. Additional shipping costs are changed in some cases.

Fees when you order at the counter.

• Pick up at a counter: CHF 5 fee. Free if you hold a GA Travelcard.
• Delivery to your address: CHF 5 fee (if you do not hold a GA Travelcard).

Fees when you order online.

• Delivery to an SBB salespoint: CHF 5 fee.
• Delivery to your address: CHF 5 fee.

Payment methods accepted at SBB Change counters:

Cash and debit cards.

Payment methods not accepted at SBB Change counters:

Credit cards, Reka Cheques and SBB gift cards.

Order online with delivery to your address:

• For the product “home delivery”, payment can be made in advance (up to CHF 1500) or by PostFinance Card, MasterCard and Visa (up to CHF 700). 
• For the product “collection”, payment can be made at the counter in cash or with any common debit card. 
• Credit cards and Reka Cards are not accepted.

If foreign currency has been ordered and paid for, cancellation is generally not possible. If a mistake has obviously been made, cancellations are possible as a goodwill gesture – if the foreign currency has not yet been sent out.

SBB reserves the right not to buy back some exotic currencies. You may be charged for any loss of value due to exchange rate fluctuations.

You can exchange the foreign currency you bought back into Swiss francs at a local SBB station at the purchase rate. This can be done for most foreign currencies without a problem. However, SBB reserves the right not to exchange some exotic currencies.
