You can park at almost all railway stations. 

There are free parking spaces for bicycles and motorcycles at nearly all railway stations. At some stations secure or supervised cycle parks are available.

Both types are equipped with a personalised access system so that your bicycle is provided with additional security. In addition, both are subject to fees. 

Secure cycle park.

In contrast to a supervised cycle park, a secure cycle park is self-service and you can usually park your bicycle around the clock. 

Supervised cycle park.

Supervised cycle parks are often staffed and usually offer additional services (e.g. bicycle repair station, bicycle pump, bicycle shop). Video surveillance is also in operation as a minimum requirement and the facility may also be supervised by on-site staff.

You can park your bike in a supervised cycle park at over 70 locations. 

There are different access options for supervised cycle parks. This might involve a badge or a numerical code, for example. You can easily find out more at your local cycle park. The prices depend on the location. In some cases, there are also monthly or annual subscriptions or you can park for free for the first 24 hours.

Bicycles which have been parked at the bicycle parking facility for a long time are regularly collected and put into storage. You can collect your bike again by contacting the SBB Real Estate helpdesk on 051 222 21 11.

If your subscription has expired, the cycle storage facility will not open. You will therefore have to buy a day pass to open the door and collect your bicycle.

The regulations do not guarantee a parking space, even with a subscription.

Unfortunately, refunds are currently not possible with either Velocity or SBB.

Yes, you need a Velocity sticker. You can get these at the cycle park. Stick the sticker on your bicycle and register it in your Velocity account. 

There is an emergency opening button inside the smart cycle storage facility which allows the door to be opened from the inside.

Yes. You need a SwissPass card as Velocity only works with this. You can obtain a SwissPass free of charge from any public transport point of sale. All you need is a valid identity card (or another official form of ID) and a current passport photo.
