  • Swiss Family Card: accepted ID for a 14-year-old with a photo-less health card?

Hello, We are a Canadian family from Quebec planning to travel with Swiss Travel Passes and a Swiss Family Card. Before posting, I searched the SBB Community and found these two helpful discussions: Linking Swiss Travel Pass tickets to a SwissPass profileLink opens in new window.: an original passport, official ID card or driving licence must be carried; copies and phone photos are not accepted. Swiss Travel Pass: valid ID when usingLink opens in new window.: confirms that an original UK photo driving licence is accepted. This answers the question for the adults: we can carry our original Quebec driving licences instead of our passports. However, we could not find an answer for our daughter. She turned 14 last week, but her current valid Quebec Health Insurance Card, issued by the RAMQLink opens in new window., was issued while she was under 14 and therefore has no photo. RAMQ explains that children under 14 are exempt from providing a photo and signatureLink opens in new window.. Her physical card indicates that it is valid without a photo. Would this original physical RAMQ card be accepted as official ID when she travels with the Swiss Family Card? If not, must she carry her original passport on every travel day, or would the Swiss Family Card together with an accompanying parent’s original ID be sufficient? We understand that a photo or photocopy of the passport is not accepted. We would simply prefer not to carry our passports every day because of the risk of loss or theft, while of course complying fully with the identification requirements. Thank you!

  • Timetable change due to construction work

    Dear all,
I bought a supersaver ticket from Luzern to Zurich in October.
Later I found the timetable changed due to construction work.
I have to change train at Zug to get to Zurich.
Do I need to buy a new ticket? Or I can take the train at Zug without paying extra fee?
    Thank you very much!

  • Swiss Travel Pass refund

I made a mistake with the travel passes.
I have purchased a Swiss Travel Pass for 3 days. However I realize 3 or 4 Saver Day Passes are more appropriate for me. Is it possible to make the change? This would also allow me more flexibility on dates. I purchased the 3-day Swiss Travel Pass as a guest but I had also purchased cancellation insurance? Is there a way I can fix my mistake? Thanks
