  • Best travel card for me?

Day one, travelling Zurich Airport to St. Moritz, Day two, travelling St. Moritz to Zermatt on Glacier Express, Day four, travelling Zermatt to Zurich Airport. Perhaps someone can let me know how to go about these journeys for the cheapest rate in 1st class. Many thanks from Ireland

  • Ticket Advice

We are flying into Zurich Flughafen and want to travel to Lauterbrunnen on the train for a skiing trip. Given the unpredictability of flight arrival times and luggage collection what is the best ticket to get for two adults, a 17 and 14 year old please on 27/12 and back 2/1/26. We will be travelling from Zurich Flughafen to Lauterbrunnen via Interlarken Ost. Is there a reduced time table on those days and what is difference between Standard and First Class in price and benefits. I also understand the route is fairly scenic. Any suggestions ?

  • Seat Reservations

Hi all, I’m new to train travel in Europe, so sorry for the newbie questions.
In September we (4 people) are traveling from Basel SBB to Lugano, then on to Milano Centrale and Monterosso. The train reservations were made for us through Trenitalia. Upon checking the tickets I see that there are no seat reservations for Basel SBB to Lugano (IC 663); we do have seat assignments for the rest of the trip. Questions: 1) I see that SBB has a train listed for the same time timetable (IC 21) as Trenitalia (IC 663). Are these trains the same and are a co-share?
    2) Are seat reservations needed so that four people can sit together in first-class? I see that I can purchase seat reservations on SBB however I went to the Trenitalia website and it doesn’t allow me to purchase seat reservations through their website. Looking for any advice yoou can provide. Thank you in advance!
